Ryan Mays

Ryan Mays was a philosophy teacher at UEA who studied Wittgensteinian philosophy and was originally from Kentucky. Ryan Mays discussed anti-Americanism, national stereotypes, and the inaccuracy of the 'Bourbon Trail' image. He also spoke about the relationship between accent and perceived intelligence, and the use of anti-American sentiment as a social signal.
